About The Position

The E2E Warranty Analyst leads management of prioritized quality cases, including warranty and IQS issues, under the Single Agenda for Quality (SAQ), partnering with Vehicle Function Groups (VFGs) and Functional Quality Managers. The role drives delivery of the throughput standard established for each performance cycle, such as moving from detection of the first loaded claim to permanent corrective action within 120 days in 2026. It works with functions to meet Time to Detect, Time to Contain, and Time to Resolve targets, identifying ways to prevent target breaches or escalating issues through appropriate forums. Signals may come from warranty, 14D investigations, JD Power IQS, and other sources; regardless of signal type, the analyst applies consistent SAQ prioritization and problem-solving urgency. The analyst owns throughput and problem-solving aging status for Functional Units (VHE, EE&S, VE, and Paint), working with VFGs, the Central Triage Team (CTT), and functional problem solvers to analyze signals from IRIS and drive delivery through SIMPSN. The role ensures prioritized work is appropriately focused, SAQ issues meet process standards, prioritized claims are covered by SIMPSN tickets, and forward-model-responsible cases progress through Long Lead PCA and Prevent Recurrence Action (PRA) processes. The position supports program delivery and risk management by maintaining accurate Program Quality Status inputs and integrating functional quality insights into program-level planning. It connects program and functional priorities and serves as an interface among program quality, engineering, manufacturing, service, and supplier quality teams. It also translates current-production problem resolutions into lessons for future vehicle designs and processes, contributes insights to proactive quality planning, and uses varied quality and customer data to identify trends, risks, and benchmarking opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, sciences, or an academically equivalent, closely related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of Ford quality tools and processes, or equivalent, including experience interpreting quality data sources and applying data analytics.
  • Working knowledge of problem-solving methodology such as Global 8D or PDCA.
  • Green Belt certification.
  • Strong collaboration capabilities, including the ability to bring teams together toward a common outcome despite differing perspectives.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree.
  • Black Belt certification.

Responsibilities

  • Own delivery of throughput status and problem-solving phase aging for Functional Units (VHE, EE&S, VE, and Paint), working with VFGs, CTT, and functional problem solvers to analyze signals from IRIS and drive delivery through SIMPSN.
  • Ensure prioritized work (T0, T1, and T2) receives appropriate focus and monitor cases that are nearing or breaching aging targets; facilitate mitigation or escalation within the function.
  • Ensure SAQ-prioritized issues meet problem-solving process standards, including an active problem-solving team, a robust problem statement, and progression through problem-solving steps.
  • Ensure SAQ is appropriately scoped and priorities address business needs; maintain coverage of prioritized claims by SIMPSN tickets, with a KPI greater than 90%.
  • Ensure forward-model-responsible cases are cascaded efficiently through Long Lead PCA and Prevent Recurrence Action (PRA) processes.
  • Ensure current-model quality learnings and functional quality status are accurately represented in Program Quality Status inputs.
  • Partner with Program Quality Engineers to integrate VHE, VE, EE&S, and Paint quality insights into program-level quality planning and strategic discussions.
  • Align current-model vehicle-line priorities with functional-team priorities so issues affecting lower-volume vehicle lines and smaller regions are not overlooked.
  • Coordinate information and alignment on functional quality issues across program quality, engineering, manufacturing, service, and supplier quality teams.
  • Consult manufacturing and service quality teams and integrate their perspectives into functional quality assessments.
  • Work with engineering teams on current-production quality problems to understand root causes, failure mechanisms, and manufacturing and supplier constraints while driving SAQ delivery.
  • Translate technical resolutions from current production into actionable lessons learned for future vehicle designs and processes.
  • Participate in functional waterfall work and analyze current quality gaps.
  • Provide real-world insights to the Forward Model Quality team to strengthen Failure Mode Avoidance (FMA) plans, Root Cause plans, and Critical-to-Quality assessments.
  • Provide feedback on the effectiveness of Quality Framework Enablers in current production.
  • Identify and cascade high-performing parts and systems from current models for reuse in future programs, rolling insights up to VHE, VE, and EE&S levels.
  • Use warranty data, customer satisfaction metrics, field service reports, and physical assessment data such as auction data to identify quality trends, risk areas, and benchmarking opportunities.
