E2E Warranty Analyst

Ford•Dearborn, MI
•$72,480 - $162,120•Onsite

About The Position

The E2E Warranty Analyst leads management of prioritized quality cases, including warranty and IQS cases, in accordance with the Single Agenda for Quality (SAQ). The role partners with Vehicle Function Groups (VFGs) and Functional Quality Managers to meet throughput standards and targets for Time to Detect, Time to Contain, and Time to Resolve. It brings a consistent problem-solving approach and appropriate urgency to issues regardless of whether signals originate from warranty, 14D investigations, JD Power IQS, or other sources. The analyst owns throughput and problem-solving aging delivery for Functional Units, works with VFGs, the Central Triage Team, and functional problem solvers, and ensures prioritized cases follow process standards. The role also supports program quality planning, risk management, cross-functional information flow, and the transfer of current-model quality learnings into future programs. It uses diverse quality and customer data to identify trends, risks, and benchmarking opportunities, and provides insights to strengthen proactive quality planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Sciences, or a closely related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of Ford's quality tools and processes, or equivalent experience interpreting quality data sources and applying data analytics.
  • Working knowledge of problem-solving methodology, such as Global 8D or PDCA.
  • Green Belt certification required.
  • Strong collaboration capabilities, including the ability to bring teams together around a common outcome despite differing perspectives.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree.
  • Black Belt certification.

Responsibilities

  • Own delivery of overall throughput status and problem-solving phase aging for Functional Units (VHE, EE&S, VE, Paint), working with VFGs, the Central Triage Team, and functional problem solvers to analyze signals from IRIS and drive delivery through SIMPSN.
  • Monitor prioritized work and aging targets, facilitate enablers to mitigate potential or actual breaches, and escalate issues within the function when needed.
  • Ensure prioritized SAQ issues have active problem-solving teams, robust problem statements, and progression through the required problem-solving steps.
  • Ensure SAQ issues are properly scoped and priorities address business needs; track the percentage of prioritized claims covered by SIMPSN tickets.
  • Ensure forward model-responsible cases are cascaded through the Long Lead PCA and Prevent Recurrence Action processes.
  • Ensure current-model quality learnings and functional quality status are accurately reflected in Program Quality Status inputs.
  • Partner with Program Quality Engineers to integrate functional quality insights into program-level quality planning and strategic discussions.
  • Align current-model vehicle-line priorities with functional team priorities so issues affecting lower-volume vehicle lines and smaller regions are not overlooked.
  • Coordinate information and alignment on functional quality issues across program quality, engineering, manufacturing, service, and supplier quality teams.
  • Consult manufacturing and service quality teams and integrate their insights into functional quality assessments.
  • Work with engineering teams to understand current-production quality problems, root causes, failure mechanisms, and manufacturing and supplier constraints while driving SAQ delivery.
  • Translate current-production problem resolutions into lessons learned for future vehicle designs and processes, and participate in functional waterfall work analyzing quality gaps.
  • Provide real-world insights to the Forward Model Quality team to strengthen Failure Mode Avoidance plans, Root Cause plans, and Critical-to-Quality assessments.
  • Provide feedback on the effectiveness of Quality Framework Enablers in current production.
  • Identify and cascade high-performing parts and systems for reuse in future programs, and consolidate insights at VHE, VE, and EE&S levels.
  • Use warranty data, customer satisfaction metrics, field service reports, and physical assessment data to identify quality trends, risk areas, and benchmarking opportunities.
