E2E Warranty Analyst

Ford Motor Company•Dearborn, MI
•$72,480 - $162,120•Onsite

About The Position

The E2E Warranty Analyst leads end-to-end management of prioritized quality cases, including warranty and IQS issues, in accordance with the Single Agenda for Quality (SAQ). The analyst partners with Vehicle Function Groups (VFGs), Functional Quality Managers, the Central Triage Team, and problem-solving teams to maintain a consistent, appropriately urgent problem-solving approach across signal types. The role drives delivery against performance-cycle throughput targets, such as implementing permanent corrective action within 120 days of detection of the first loaded claim, and helps mitigate or escalate risks to Time to Detect, Time to Contain, and Time to Resolve targets. The analyst owns throughput status and problem-solving aging for assigned functional units, monitors prioritized cases and SAQ process standards, and ensures that prioritized claims are appropriately covered by SIMPSN tickets. The role also supports program-level quality planning, aligns current-model priorities across vehicle lines and functional teams, and serves as an interface among program quality, engineering, manufacturing, service, and supplier quality teams. The analyst applies current-production quality learnings to future programs by investigating root causes and constraints, translating resolutions into lessons learned, contributing to functional waterfall work and proactive quality planning, and identifying parts and systems suitable for reuse. The position uses warranty, customer satisfaction, field service, and physical assessment data to identify quality trends, risks, and benchmarking opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Sciences, or a closely related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of Ford quality tools and processes, or equivalent experience interpreting quality data sources and applying data analytics.
  • Working knowledge of problem-solving methodologies such as Global 8D or PDCA.
  • Green Belt certification.
  • Strong collaboration skills, including the ability to bring teams together toward a common outcome despite differing perspectives.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree.
  • Black Belt certification.

Responsibilities

  • Own delivery of throughput status and problem-solving phase aging for Functional Units (VHE, EE&S, VE, and Paint), coordinating with VFGs, the Central Triage Team, and functional problem solvers to analyze signals from IRIS and drive delivery through SIMPSN.
  • Monitor prioritized T0, T1, and T2 work against performance-window aging targets; facilitate enablers or escalate within functions to mitigate or avoid breaches.
  • Ensure prioritized SAQ issues have active problem-solving teams, robust problem statements, and progression through required problem-solving steps.
  • Ensure SAQ scope and priorities address business needs, including achieving coverage of more than 90% of prioritized claims with SIMPSN tickets.
  • Ensure forward-model-responsible cases are cascaded through Long Lead PCA and Prevent Recurrence Action processes.
  • Ensure current-model quality learnings and functional quality status are accurately represented in Program Quality Status inputs.
  • Partner with Program Quality Engineers to integrate functional quality insights into program-level quality planning and strategic discussions.
  • Align current-model vehicle-line priorities with functional-team priorities so issues affecting lower-volume vehicle lines and smaller regions are considered.
  • Coordinate information and alignment among program quality, engineering, manufacturing, service, and supplier quality teams on functional quality issues.
  • Consult manufacturing and service quality teams and incorporate their perspectives into functional quality assessments.
  • Engage engineering teams to understand current-production root causes, failure mechanisms, and manufacturing or supplier constraints while driving SAQ delivery.
  • Translate technical resolutions from current production into lessons learned for future vehicle designs and processes.
  • Participate in functional waterfall work and detailed analysis of current quality gaps.
  • Provide current-production insights to the Forward Model Quality team to inform Failure Mode Avoidance plans, Root Cause plans, and Critical-to-Quality assessments.
  • Contribute feedback to refine Quality Framework Enablers based on their effectiveness in current production.
  • Identify and cascade high-performing parts and systems for reuse in future programs; consolidate insights across VHE, VE, and EE&S for strategic planning.
  • Analyze warranty data, customer satisfaction metrics, field service reports, and physical assessment data to identify quality trends, risk areas, and benchmarking opportunities.
