About The Position
A growing veterinary hospital is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to help develop and lead surgical services within a collaborative and patient-focused practice. This role offers the opportunity to perform advanced surgical procedures while helping expand surgical care in an underserved region and working alongside an experienced veterinary team.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree from an accredited university
- Board-certified surgeon or residency-trained veterinarian (surgery)
- Strong clinical and surgical skills in small animal medicine
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Commitment to high-quality patient care
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced surgical procedures for companion animal patients
- Diagnose surgical conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Manage pre-operative and post-operative patient care
- Collaborate with veterinarians and clinical staff to provide comprehensive patient treatment
- Maintain accurate medical records and surgical documentation
- Support the development and growth of surgical services within the hospital
