About The Position

Working in a Fidelity Investor Center, the Investment Consultant develops customized financial plans using a range of products, services, and Fidelity planning tools. The role focuses on serving existing clients and warm leads rather than sourcing new customers, providing investment solutions, and growing relationships with a dedicated local advisor.

The consultant works directly with clients to help them make investment decisions in their best interest. Using Fidelity’s planning and guidance resources, the consultant presents and implements solutions suited to clients’ needs, with the goal of positively affecting their financial futures.

Requirements

• Hold FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 licenses and appropriate state registrations, or be able to acquire Series 66 upon hire.
• Have a comprehensive understanding of various investment solutions and be able to educate customers about their values and differences.
• Demonstrate exemplary interpersonal skills and the ability to grow relationships.
• Show initiative and a willingness to exceed expectations.
• Have outstanding communication and consultative skills and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

• A degree, equivalent experience, or other professional certifications are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Develop customized financial plans using Fidelity products, services, and planning tools.
• Work directly with clients to help them make investment decisions in their best interest.
• Use planning and guidance resources to present and implement solutions that meet client needs.
• Use Fidelity guidance tools to facilitate financial planning discussions and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Use technology to prepare for and conduct efficient one-on-one appointments and support effective follow-up planning.
• Grow client relationships through proactive outreach and by understanding clients’ goals and objectives.
• Refer clients to wealth management partners based on their needs and financial complexity.
