About The Position

This is a part-time professor position for the Winter 2027 semester, teaching "Droit du fédéralisme canadien" (Canadian Federalism Law). The course covers the history of Canadian federalism, the basic rules of legislative jurisdiction sharing, and an overview of linguistic rights and Indigenous peoples' rights. The course is offered virtually and has an expected enrollment of 75 students. The academic year runs from September 1 to August 31.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Canadian federalism history.
  • Understanding of the basic rules of legislative jurisdiction sharing.
  • Familiarity with linguistic rights and Indigenous peoples' rights.
  • An acceptable level of education and/or experience equivalent to the educational requirements and/or demonstrated experience.
  • Competence in French (language of instruction).

Nice To Haves

  • Passive competence in a second language.

Responsibilities

  • Teach "Droit du fédéralisme canadien" (DCC3504, Section AA00) during the Winter 2027 semester.
  • Cover the history of Canadian federalism.
  • Explain the basic rules of legislative jurisdiction sharing.
  • Provide an overview of linguistic rights and Indigenous peoples' rights.
  • Conduct the course virtually.
  • Adhere to the current APTPUO collective agreements.
  • Complete all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.
