About The Position

This is an introductory course to the issues of race and racism in Canadian and Quebec law. It covers the conceptualization of race, the role of law in the process of racialization and the reproduction of social and racial inequalities. The course examines how courts handle issues of race and racial discrimination, adopting a critical and multidisciplinary approach to race and law. This is a lecture-based course.
