About The Position

This posting is for a Regular Part-Time Professor position to teach ECO-2543 A00, Théorie macroéconomique II (Macroeconomic Theory II), during the 2027 Winter Semester. The course focuses on understanding long-term wealth and growth, explaining historical facts with elementary growth theories, the role of savings, physical and human capital accumulation, institutions, productivity, innovation, competition, and the effects of population growth and natural resources. It also covers globalization, inequality, the impact of uncertainty and expectations on financial markets, consumption and investment decisions, economic fluctuations, and monetary and fiscal policy. The course is scheduled for Thursdays from 19:00 to 22:00.

Requirements

PhD degree in Economics or Master's degree in economics.
Recent professional experience as an economist related to the focus of the course in the public, para-public or private sector (must be demonstrated).
An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.

Responsibilities

Teach ECO-2543 A00, Théorie macroéconomique II (Macroeconomic Theory II).
Explain long-term wealth and growth, historical facts using elementary growth theories.
Cover topics such as savings, physical and human capital accumulation, institutions, productivity, innovation, competition, population growth, natural resources, globalization, and inequality.
Discuss the role of uncertainty and expectations in financial markets, consumption and investment decisions, economic fluctuations, and monetary and fiscal policies.
