About The Position

Advanced Drainage Systems (ADS) is hiring a Driver to operate company equipment and deliver products safely. This is a local dedicated-carrier role, with drivers home most evenings and weekends. ADS pays both empty and loaded hub miles, provides drop pay for deliveries, and does not use slip seating. Drivers are supported by a dedicated dispatcher and operate newer, well-maintained equipment. Company commercial vehicles are equipped with in-cab cameras to support and enhance driver safety; employees and contracted drivers operating vehicles in the ADS fleet must sign a consent form for collection of in-cab system data.

The position is open to entry-level drivers, and no experience is required. One year of verifiable driving experience is preferred. Applicants must hold a valid Class A CDL, be at least 21 years old, have an acceptable motor vehicle record, and be able to pass a DOT physical and drug test.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL.
• At least 21 years of age for interstate operations, as required by DOT.
• Acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR).
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and DOT drug test.
• Sign the consent form for collection of in-cab system data when operating a commercial motor vehicle in the ADS fleet.

Nice To Haves

• One year of verifiable driving experience is preferred; entry-level drivers are accepted and zero experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate all company equipment safely.
• Report discrepancies in bills of lading (BOLs).
• Manage safe unloading at delivery destinations and place products where customers want them.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date daily paperwork, including trip envelopes and RMAs.
• Keep the vehicle clean and operational.
• Follow company and departmental policies.
• Ensure loads are properly secured.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of all equipment.
• Report equipment and payload problems or hazards.
• Perform in-route inspections of all equipment.
• Understand and practice ADS CORE VALUES.
