About The Position

AFC is hiring a Driver Success Manager to serve as the go-to contact for a portfolio of independent-contractor driver partners, beginning with their first dispatch. The role focuses on responsive driver support, resolving concerns, and building driver retention. The position reports to the Director of Driver Success & Retention and is based in AFC's Tampa headquarters, five days per week in the office.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a driver-facing, customer success, or account management role.
• Calm, clear phone communication skills, including for difficult conversations.
• Strong follow-through and ability to close every loop.
• Comfort working across multiple systems and maintaining accurate notes.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with independent-contractor (1099) driver programs.
• Experience with McLeod, Samsara, or similar TMS/telematics tools.
• Working knowledge of settlements or hours of service (HOS).

Responsibilities

• Own relationships with a portfolio of drivers and return every call the same business day.
• Conduct documented 30-, 60-, and 90-day check-ins with new drivers.
• Take driver concerns from initial contact through resolution and keep drivers updated.
• Coordinate home-time requests with Dispatch.
• Explain settlement status and route disputes to the appropriate specialist.
• Identify at-risk drivers early and lead retention conversations.
