About The Position

Petroleum Traders Corporation is seeking an experienced Dispatch Specialist to coordinate and schedule fuel deliveries while responding to changing fuel prices and market conditions throughout the day. The role involves regular communication with customers, drivers, carriers, and internal teams to coordinate delivery schedules, monitor delivery progress, and address changing conditions. Because fuel pricing and availability can fluctuate, the Dispatch Specialist must stay informed, react quickly to market activity, and make appropriate adjustments to customer orders and delivery schedules.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate fuel deliveries with carriers according to customer needs.
• Communicate delivery instructions to carriers and drivers, resolve scheduling conflicts, and adjust plans when circumstances change.
• Monitor multiple deliveries and help ensure they remain on schedule.
• Accurately enter orders, delivery information, quantities, times, and other details into computer systems.
• Calculate quantities, loads, pricing-related information, delivery requirements, and other figures requiring accuracy.
• Resolve issues such as delayed trucks, changing customer requirements, scheduling conflicts, and unexpected delivery problems.
• Negotiate practical solutions with customers and carriers when schedules, loads, or delivery requirements conflict.
• Manage multiple customers, drivers, deliveries, phone calls, and computer tasks simultaneously.
• Remain organized and professional in a fast-changing, high-pressure dispatch environment.
