About The Position

This role involves assisting drivers with loading, securing, and unloading merchandise. The Driver Helper will perform pre-trip truck inspections, gain knowledge of merchandise and transfer processes, and maintain excellent customer relations. The position requires open availability, including weekends, and offers a fun work environment with new equipment.

Requirements

Ability to repetitively lift heavy merchandise of 50 lbs
Flexibility for long haul assignments
Ability to communicate effectively with team members
Positive attitude when working with customers
Knowledge of employment and merchandise handling procedures
Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, climbing, crawling, walking, pulling, lifting, talking, hearing/listening and repetitive motion
Lifting up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 30 lbs. constantly to move objects

Responsibilities

Loading, securing the load and unloading merchandise from the loading docks and truck at specified locations
Pre-inspection of truck before departure
Quickly gain knowledge of merchandise and documents used in the store-to-store transfer process, as well as third party shipment of loads
Check daily assignments and responsibilities
Use excellent customer relations with both internal and external customers
