About The Position

The Driller/Roof Bolter operates drilling and roof bolting equipment to support safe underground quarry operations. The role installs roof support systems in accordance with mine plans, safety standards, and procedures, and works with the production team to support safe and efficient material extraction. The employee performs daily equipment inspections, promptly reports maintenance needs, and follows applicable safety, environmental, and operational guidelines.

Employment is conditional on completing a post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require ongoing FMCSA-regulated drug and alcohol testing. The work takes place primarily in environments with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise levels.

Requirements

• Demonstrated capability to safely operate drilling and roof bolting equipment in an underground environment.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and hazard awareness.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to identify equipment issues.
• Ability to read and follow mine plans, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Dependable, team-oriented approach and effective communication skills.
• Successful completion of a post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Operate roof bolting and drilling equipment in an underground quarry.
• Install roof support systems according to mine plans, safety standards, and procedures.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and promptly report maintenance needs.
• Work with the production team to support safe and efficient material extraction.
• Follow safety, environmental, and operational guidelines.
