Driller/Roof Bolter - Underground Limestone Mine
About The Position
Heidelberg Materials is hiring a Driller/Roof Bolter for its Aggregates line of business at an underground limestone mine. The role operates roof-bolting and drilling equipment to support safe underground quarry operations and installs roof support systems according to mine plans, safety standards, and procedures. The employee conducts daily equipment inspections, reports maintenance needs, and works with the production team to support safe and efficient material extraction. The role requires following all safety, environmental, and operational guidelines. The successful candidate must complete a post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug and alcohol screening, and background check. Some positions require ongoing FMCSA-regulated drug and alcohol testing. Work takes place primarily around moving mechanical equipment and may involve inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise levels.
Requirements
- Demonstrated capability to safely operate drilling and roof-bolting equipment in an underground environment.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and hazard awareness.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to identify equipment issues.
- Ability to read and follow mine plans, procedures, and safety requirements.
- Dependable, team-oriented approach and effective communication skills.
- Successful completion of a post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug and alcohol screen, and background check.

Responsibilities
