About The Position

The Donut Fryer performs bakery functions, including preparing, frying, and finishing bakery items according to standard formulas and procedures. The role requires knowledge of basic bakery terms and processes, product pricing and handling, and bakery ingredients to support guests and maintain bakery displays. Work is generally performed in a safe and comfortable store environment, with possible frequent exposure to hot or cold conditions. Applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Knowledge of basic bakery terms and processes, including fermentation, bench time, proofing, and the effects of temperature variations on bakery items.
Knowledge of bakery products, descriptions, and ingredients.
Ability to perform the physical and sensory demands of the role, including standing, walking, bending, repetitive motions, reaching, and maneuvering objects weighing up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

Prepare, fry, and finish bakery items according to standard formulas and procedures.
Assist with orders for bakery ingredients and supplies and maintain inventory levels according to department and store policy.
Fill, rotate, arrange, and merchandise displays and display cases.
Price, date, wrap, or bag bakery products.
Understand bakery products, descriptions, and ingredients to serve guests and answer questions.
