About The Position

Festival Foods is hiring a Donut Fryer/Finisher to prepare high-quality donuts and help provide guests with an exceptional bakery experience. Reporting to the Bakery Manager, the associate mixes, fries, and decorates donuts according to recipes and department standards, while supporting bakery sales, product availability, food safety, and cleanliness. The position may be part-time or full-time; this listing identifies it as part-time. The schedule generally includes mornings, afternoons, weekends, and holidays, with flexibility to work evenings or overnight as needed.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Follow safety requirements and company safety policies.
• Have proper training and knowledge of bakery equipment and procedures, including fryers.
• Deal tactfully and effectively with guests and personnel.
• Meet the physical demands of the role, including extended standing, frequent lifting up to 50 pounds, and repetitive hand and wrist motions.
• Be able to work a schedule that generally includes mornings, afternoons, weekends, and holidays, with flexibility for evenings or overnight as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide helpful, professional service to guests, including answering questions and addressing concerns.
• Mix, fry, and decorate donuts according to recipes and department standards.
• Create visually appealing products to enhance sales.
• Follow production lists and recipes, use accurate measurements, and minimize waste and shrink.
• Assist guests with finding items, special orders, and inquiries, using proper phone etiquette.
• Package and price items from the service case and replenish bakery ingredients and supplies.
• Assist in other department areas as needed and maintain clean, organized work areas, shelving, and sales floor.
• Follow food safety protocols, maintain food safety logs, and meet product quality and quantity standards, including having expected quantities ready by 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
• Maintain regular, timely attendance and provide adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
