Part-time Donor Door Greeter (ADC)
About The Position
The Donor Door Greeter welcomes donors, safely accepts donations, and assists customers while communicating effectively. The role processes donation records using a handheld device and demonstrates customer commitment and personal effectiveness. The position is based at the Opelika retail store in Opelika, Alabama. Although hired as a Donor Door Greeter, the employee will be cross-trained and expected to learn and work in all areas of retail operations. This part-time position averages 20–25 hours per week, with hours that fluctuate according to business needs, seasonal changes, and donation volumes. Operating days vary by store location, and the employee must be available to work any shift Monday through Sunday.
Requirements
- Ability to use a handheld electronic device.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Availability to work any shift Monday through Sunday.

- Prior experience in retail or a customer-service-related environment.
- Warehouse experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet donors quickly and efficiently while providing excellent customer service.
- Receive donated goods by unloading vehicles and carrying donated items inside.
- Provide receipts to donors and maintain accurate donation records using a handheld device.
- Organize donations into bins to support accurate processing.
- Perform general housekeeping duties and keep the work area neat and clean.
- Assist truck drivers with loading and unloading donations.
- Work in other areas of the store as requested by the leadership team.
- Learn and work in all areas of the retail operation after cross-training.
