About The Position

Accept donations on behalf of Goodwill at standalone or storefront donation centers and provide excellent customer service to donors. The role supports Goodwill’s mission-integrated work, which is funded by resalable goods and provides job readiness training and employment opportunities to individuals with disabilities and barriers to employment.

Requirements

High school graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
Six months to one year of customer service-related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Open and close the assigned donation center site according to department guidelines and the training manual.
Accept donations according to established guidelines; greet and assist donors, accurately complete donation receipts, politely refuse donations when necessary, refer donors to other locations, and thank each donor.
Keep the interior and exterior of the site clean and organized, including sweeping the perimeter, storing donations neatly in the trailer, picking up debris and trash, and maintaining the Unattended Donation Center when applicable.
Complete daily administrative tasks accurately and on time, including donor counts, sorting and submitting donation receipts, and completing daily tally sheets.
Safeguard donations and company property from damage and theft, and treat them with respect and care.
Communicate supply needs, unusual situations, and safety concerns accurately and promptly to the appropriate Supervisor or Coordinator.
Safely and accurately load donations into bins and organize them inside donation trailers.
Assist Truck Helpers and Truck Drivers with loading donations into Goodwill trucks when needed.
Communicate daily with Dispatch about current product volumes and transportation or service needs.
Perform other duties as assigned or directed.
