About The Position

The Domestic Operations Agent prioritizes, schedules, and routes shipments through air and ground transportation networks. The role works with customers, agents, and carriers to rate and quote shipments, source and negotiate capacity, track freight, and support customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. The position is based at the Corporate Headquarters in Winnsboro, Texas, reports to the Director of Corporate Services, is full-time and non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act, and does not require travel. The agent participates in a required on-call duty rotation. Responsibilities and qualifications may be adjusted, modified, or expanded as required.

Requirements

At least 2 years of freight forwarding experience.
Effective communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage time effectively.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Continual desire to learn and expand domestic knowledge.
High level of resourcefulness and initiative.

Responsibilities

Prioritize, schedule, and route shipments for transportation via air and ground networks.
Interact with customers and agents to rate and quote shipments via air, FTL, LTL, hot shot, and line-haul.
Maintain and grow relationships on the team’s behalf with existing and new customers and carriers.
Proactively contact carriers daily to source, price, negotiate, and track shipments.
Source and secure capacity for time-sensitive freight using multiple sourcing platforms.
Work alongside team members to support high customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Communicate with branch offices and agents.
Support local cartage and dispatch.
Participate in the required on-call duty rotation.
Perform other tasks appropriate to the position or assigned by a supervisor.
