About The Position

Animal Medical Center is seeking an outgoing, highly motivated Doggie Daycare Team Member to join its veterinary team in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. The role supports a safe, clean, and engaging daycare environment for patients while representing a veterinary practice committed to excellent pet healthcare and client service. It is a physically active, outdoor position requiring alertness, multitasking, and teamwork. This is a full-time, ongoing position rather than seasonal employment; dependability and long-term availability are important. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with three days each week ending at 4:00 p.m. Some holiday kennel shifts are required.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

• Ability to recognize potential signs of illness in pets.
• Internet access to receive schedules and clinic communications.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds, or more with assistance.
• Ability to work comfortably in hot, cold, or rainy weather.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Availability for the stated schedule and occasional holiday shifts.
• Long-term availability; this position is not intended to be seasonal.

Nice To Haves

• Previous dog daycare or animal care experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise dogs during group play, ensuring their safety and minimizing stress.
• Maintain constant visual observation of daycare groups.
• Use proper dog-handling techniques as trained by management.
• Immediately report unusual behavior, signs of illness, injuries, or other concerns.
• Clean and disinfect daycare rooms and outdoor play areas.
• Promptly clean up pet waste.
• Greet and assist clients professionally.
• Work respectfully with veterinary team members to support a positive client experience.
