About The Position

The Daycare Teacher helps ensure the safety, education, and care of children at The Sunshine House. Teachers provide a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment; create engaging classrooms where children can learn, play, and grow; and support children’s social and emotional development. They foster a love of learning through Creative Curriculum and Brain Connect programs and build partnerships with families through daily app updates and personal discussions. The position is at 15644 Donnington Drive, Charlotte, NC 28277, with a Monday–Friday schedule. The stated pay range is $16.00–$21.00; candidates with advanced early childhood education may qualify for higher pay within the range, and regular increases may be considered based on additional education, performance, and service.

Requirements

Passion for working with young children.
Be at least 18 years old.
High school diploma or equivalent.
EDU119 credentials or equivalent required for lead teachers.
At least six months of experience working in licensed childcare.
Ability to pass background checks and health assessments.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds for child safety and emergencies.

Nice To Haves

An associate’s degree in early childhood education or a related field is required for some lead teacher positions.
Advanced education and experience in early childhood education may qualify candidates for higher pay within the stated range.
