About The Position

The Sunshine House is hiring a Daycare Teacher at its Charlotte, North Carolina location. Teachers help ensure children’s safety, education, and care while shaping their early learning experiences. The role involves maintaining a nurturing classroom, supporting children’s social and emotional development, and building partnerships with families. The posted pay range is $16.00–$21.00 per hour, with placement depending on education, credentials, and experience; regular pay increases may be considered based on education, performance, and length of service. The Sunshine House operates more than 100 schools across seven states and provides early education and childcare for children from six weeks to 12 years old. Requirements

Passion for working with young children.
At least 18 years old.
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least six months of experience working in licensed childcare.
Ability to pass background checks and health assessments.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds for child safety and emergencies.
EDU119 credentials or equivalent required for lead teachers.
An associate’s degree in early childhood education or a related field is required for some lead teacher positions.
