About The Position

The teacher cares for and educates a group of children, working as a lead teacher in partnership with an assistant. Together, they design and implement lesson plans and manage students as they learn, eat, sleep, and play. Teachers keep their classrooms organized and clean and communicate with parents in person and in writing. The role coordinates the daily operations of assigned classes and involves planning, presenting, and evaluating educational and recreational activities in a safe environment, while working directly with children and parents to provide quality customer service. The school serves children from six weeks through pre-kindergarten. Teachers work full time, year-round.

Requirements

• Have a BA or AA in Early Childhood Education or a related field, a Child Development Associate (CDA), at least 12 college credits in Education, or be currently enrolled in a CDA or Associate's Degree program.
• Experience working with young children.
• Comfort with technology for lesson planning and parent communication.
• Mastery of spoken and written English sufficient for effective communication with parents.
