About The Position

Pup Culture is hiring reliable, responsible animal-lovers to provide dog walking and pet-sitting services in its Twin Cities service area. The role involves spending time outdoors, exercising, and caring for dogs and cats. The position begins with a couple of walks per day, with the opportunity to take on more work based on performance and experience. Visits are often scheduled back-to-back and must be completed within specified time frames. Much of the work is performed independently after initial and ongoing training. The role is part-time and requires weekday availability, as well as one weekend per quarter. Pay begins at $16 per hour, with tips.

Requirements

Availability between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and one weekend per quarter.
Ability to make a long-term commitment.
A smartphone, computer, and internet access.
Reliable transportation.
Residence in or near the company’s service area.
Ability to walk in all weather.
Ability to pass a criminal background check.
Excellent time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and be resourceful.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Confidence and intuition when working with animals, and patience and a genuine love of animals.

Responsibilities

Provide safe, individualized dog walks and cat-sitting visits.
Complete scheduled visits, often back-to-back and within specified time frames.
Communicate clearly with clients and staff, including providing daily visit updates through the company system.
Work independently and use resourcefulness during visits.
Care for animals with patience, confidence, and sound animal intuition.
