Morning Dog Walker & Pet Sitter

Charleston Dog Walker•Charleston, SC

About The Position

Charleston Dog Walker is hiring part-time dog walkers and pet sitters for morning visits in its service area. The role involves providing pets with walks, potty breaks, food, fresh water, medications as instructed, and cat care including litter cleanup. Workers observe pets and their surroundings, follow client instructions, and contact a manager with questions rather than guessing. Visits are completed independently, with management support available. At the end of each visit, workers ensure pets are comfortable, secure the home, and send clients a brief update and photos. The company provides training, including online Pet Emergency Care certification, and schedules assignments within each worker’s stated availability. Candidates must be consistently available from 7–9 a.m. on at least three weekdays and currently live in James Island, Downtown Charleston, Johns Island, Folly Beach, or Avondale. Work requires driving between homes and may involve assignments throughout the service area. The company seeks people interested in ongoing work for at least six months, preferably longer. Pay is $11 per 30-minute visit, plus tips and mileage reimbursement between visits. Morning schedules generally include one to three visits on assigned workdays.
