About The Position

Miami Pet Concierge is seeking dependable, caring individuals for ongoing part-time dog walking and pet-sitting work in Miami. The role includes caring for dogs and other pets in clients’ homes, traveling between assigned visits, following individualized care and safety instructions, and sending clients timely updates and photos. Dog walking is the primary service, with assignments also including puppy visits, cat care, pet sitting, and, depending on client needs, overnight care.

Professional pet-care experience is not required. The company provides training and guidance, and assignments are made with safety, experience, and individual handling abilities in mind. The role suits people who love animals, enjoy active and independent work, communicate thoughtfully, and take reliability and attention to detail seriously. A commitment of at least nine months is required. Most recurring dog walks are in Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, and South Miami, with service also provided in nearby neighborhoods.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have a reliable automobile and valid auto insurance.
• Have a smartphone with a camera and data plan.
• Communicate fluently in English.
• Be physically capable of performing the described duties.
• Be comfortable working outdoors in Miami weather.
• Be responsible, dependable, attentive to detail, and comfortable working independently.
• Be comfortable around dogs of different sizes and personalities, including larger, stronger, or reactive dogs, and willing to learn safe handling skills.
• Be able to commit to the position for at least nine months.
• Be available reliably during summer and holiday periods.

Nice To Haves

• Previous professional pet-care experience.
• Experience through personal pet ownership, animal rescue, veterinary care, dog daycare, or another animal-related setting.
• Consistent weekday daytime availability.
• Interest in helping with other types of pet care when schedules permit.
• Living in or near Miami Pet Concierge’s service area.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, attentive dog walks lasting 30–60 minutes for dogs of different sizes, breeds, energy levels, and personalities.
• Use appropriate leash-handling techniques and follow individualized safety instructions, including for dogs that may pull or react to distractions.
• Provide puppy visits, feed pets, refresh water, and care for cats.
• Administer medications when required.
• Observe and report changes in pets’ health, behavior, or well-being.
• Follow detailed care instructions and respect the security of clients’ homes.
• Send timely, thoughtful visit updates and photos to pet owners.
• Communicate with Miami Pet Concierge’s owners and teammates as needed.
• Travel between clients’ homes throughout assigned work.
