The Dockworker primarily works in the outside dock area of an AmeriGas facility. The role is responsible for unloading empty propane cylinders from trucks, carrying them inside to the refill station, refilling them, and moving the filled cylinders back to the dock to reload onto trucks for the next day’s delivery. Other duties may include cylinder repair and maintenance, providing customer training on propane dispensing, and handling refills for walk-in customers. Applicants must be able to climb steps and ladders, walk 1–5 miles, carry multiple propane cylinders weighing up to 75 pounds each, and lift, push, pull, bend, and climb in and out of trucks. A high school diploma or GED is required. One to two years of manufacturing work experience is preferred. Candidates must be willing to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check; successful applicants are subject to substance-abuse testing under company policies.
