About The Position

The Dockworker primarily works in the outside dock area of an AmeriGas facility. The employee unloads empty propane cylinders from trucks, carries them inside the dock area to the refill station, and refills them. Filled cylinders are moved back to the dock and reloaded onto trucks for the next day’s delivery. Other duties may include cylinder repair and maintenance, providing customer training on dispensing propane, and handling refills for walk-in customers.

Requirements

• Ability to climb steps and ladders, walk 1–5 miles, and carry multiple propane cylinders weighing up to 75 pounds each.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, bend, and climb in and out of a truck.
• High school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

• 1–2 years of work experience in manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload empty propane cylinders from trucks.
• Carry cylinders to the refill station and refill them.
