About The Position

The Dockside Maintenance Dockhand is part of the Freedom Boat Club Operations team and troubleshoots and performs light maintenance on the vessel fleet while assisting with the Club’s day-to-day operations. The role is customer-focused and requires availability on weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Work takes place outdoors in a marina and around boats and water, with local travel required. The anticipated pay rate is $16 per hour.

Requirements

Pass a background check and drug screen.
Hold a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record.
Have a high school diploma.
Be at least 18 years of age.
Have high attention to detail.
Be able to use a tablet and Fleetio software, with proven experience using applications.
Have adequate vision to read and manipulate handheld computer tablets.
Maintain a calm, positive attitude during periods of high activity.
Have effective communication skills and provide friendly customer service.
Be a self-starter capable of working unsupervised.
Maintain a cooperative, team-oriented attitude when working with supervisors and fellow employees.

Nice To Haves

Fleet maintenance background.
Boating experience in and around boats.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and perform light maintenance on vessels.
Enter and update information in Fleetio software.
Follow company policies and procedures and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, and anticipate and address their service needs.
Communicate clearly and professionally, including making and answering telephone calls using appropriate etiquette.
Support the team in reaching common goals and comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
