About The Position

D.R. Horton, Inc., the largest homebuilder in the U.S., is seeking a Division Human Resource Manager for their Human Resources Department. This role is responsible for handling all aspects of Human Resources and payroll at the division level, serving as a liaison between Corporate and the Division, and managing all employee relations issues. The company is a Fortune 500 company that is growing fast and looking for enthusiastic team players.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Accounting from a four-year college or university.
  • Three to five years related experience and/or training.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Handle all aspects of Human Resources and payroll at the division level.
  • Serve as liaison between Corporate and Division.
  • Handle all employee relations issues.
  • Manage recruitment and new hire processing.
  • Assist managers with employee concerns on disciplinary action.
  • Make managers aware of company policies relating to certain management responsibilities.
  • Conduct new hire orientation and reference checks.
  • Conduct benefits Open Enrollment meetings and answer employee questions concerning benefits and HR policies.
  • Responsible for division payroll, including distributing timesheets and paychecks, collecting, reviewing, correcting, and obtaining approval of timesheets, and inputting hours and vacation time for forwarding to Corporate.
  • Process salary increases, bonuses, transfers, promotions, and terminations.
  • Maintain vacation calendar and notify department managers of vacation/sick/personal time balances.
  • Administer worker's compensation for the division.
  • Ensure all HR regulations are followed.
  • Help train staff.
  • Manage subordinate administrative staff.
  • Directly supervise two or more employees, carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
