About The Position

The Business Services Program Director (Administrator) for the Division of Gynecologic Oncology in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine is responsible for the ongoing leadership, strategic management and the high-level oversight the division with approximately 15 faculty members. This includes partnering with the DFA and Division Chief to execute the following: management and strategic planning, ensure fiscal sustainability and growth through budget management, organizing, and managing administrative activities ensuring compliance with all internal and external policies and procedures that govern the Division efforts. The Administrator oversees the Division’s fiscal affairs, provides Human Resources expertise and guidance to division staff, and day-to-day operational oversight in support of the Division’s, Department’s and School’s mission and goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and 6-8 years of professional experience in healthcare administration.
  • A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.
  • Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • A master’s degree from an accredited college or university in health administration, business, public health, or related field
  • Progressive administrative experience within a healthcare or university setting
  • Effective communication/presentation skills and a proven track record of forming collaborative and effective working relationships with physicians and administrative staff
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse population of faculty, staff and students; experienced in the supervision of administrative and support staff personnel
  • Outstanding business administration skills: operations, finance, & strategy.
