The District Shift Leader participates in a targeted General Manager development plan, preparing to take ownership of a bakery as a General Manager when a position becomes available. The role performs management duties at a home bakery and supports other bakeries in the market as needed. The District Shift Leader leads to General Manager standards when the General Manager is absent and is expected to fill in for General Managers at other locations and accept a permanent General Manager promotion within the market when available; the specific location is not guaranteed. Shifts may begin as early as 3 a.m. for baking and store-opening duties. The role leads by example, represents the brand, coaches and trains team members, and works across bakery roles to support high-quality food and beverages and a safe, clean store. Development-plan training includes administrative tasks such as inventory tracking, vendor orders, and cash management, as well as P&L analysis, food-cost and labor targets, scheduling, and recruiting. The position requires at least 30 hours per week and may include varied hours and weekend work. Stores close at 2 p.m.; employees will not work past 3 p.m. Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
