The District Shift Leader participates in a targeted General Manager development plan and is expected to be prepared to take ownership of a bakery as a General Manager when a position becomes available. The role performs management duties at a home bakery and supports other bakeries in the market as needed. The District Shift Leader leads to General Manager standards when the General Manager is absent and is expected to fill in for General Managers at other market locations. A permanent General Manager promotion within the market is expected when available, although the specific location is not guaranteed. Shifts may begin as early as 3 a.m. for baking and store-opening duties. The role leads by example, represents the brand, coaches and trains teams, and works across different bakery roles to maintain food and beverage quality and a safe, clean store environment. Development-plan training includes administrative duties such as inventory tracking, vendor orders, and cash management, as well as P&L analysis, food-cost and labor targets, scheduling, and recruiting. Employees will not work past 3 p.m. The position requires at least 30 hours per week.
