About The Position

McKee Foods is hiring a District Sales Representative to drive sales growth in an assigned Florida district. The representative collaborates with independent wholesale distributors and retailers, builds business relationships, identifies sales opportunities, and represents McKee Foods and its brands in the marketplace. The role includes motivating and supporting wholesalers, recruiting and orienting distributors, and managing a company sales territory as needed.

The position is based in or around North Jacksonville, Callahan, or Macclenny, Florida. District coverage includes Jacksonville, Baldwin, Macclenny, Callahan, Yulee, Fernandina Beach, Atlantic Beach, Hilliard, St. George, and Sanderson. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 40 or more hours per week, with early starts often before sunrise. Extensive travel within or outside the district is required. A company sales vehicle is provided, and operation of a box truck weighing more than 10,000 pounds may be needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of one to two years of post-high-school education or equivalent experience.
• Three years of retail management or sales experience.
• Previous customer service experience across diverse situations.
• Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to draw conclusions from data and prepare and deliver sales presentations.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience establishing strong business relationships.
• High initiative, self-motivation, independence, and a goal-oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and mobile technology.
• Willingness to travel extensively within or outside the assigned district.
• Ability to operate a box truck weighing more than 10,000 pounds when needed.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• High level of personal integrity and professionalism.

Nice To Haves

• College degree in a business-related field.
• Three years of sales experience in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) and/or Direct Store Delivery (DSD) industry.
• Proven experience making sales calls with retailers at the store level and headquarters.

Responsibilities

• Foster sales growth through collaboration with independent wholesale distributors and retailers.
• Cultivate strong business relationships with distributors and retailers.
• Act as a liaison between McKee Foods, independent wholesale distributors, and retailers.
• Motivate existing wholesalers to expand sales.
• Recruit and appoint competent candidates to distributorships.
• Provide orientation for new distributors and communicate best business practices.
• Manage and develop a company sales territory as necessary.
• Ensure daily operation and maintenance of a company vehicle.
• Adhere to established business conduct practices.
• Maintain regular communication with supervision.
• Complete reports and assignments in a timely manner.
• Temporarily and occasionally operate an open location.
• Represent McKee Foods professionally in the marketplace.
