About The Position

The Distribution Lead is responsible for the daily leadership, support, and training of an assigned team to achieve operational success while adhering to customer requirements and distribution and quality policies and procedures. The position works with site leadership and sales teams to meet shipment requirements and customer needs. It is performed in a distribution or warehouse environment where temperatures can exceed 90 degrees.

Requirements

• Leadership and communication ability, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to understand and work within the RWC ERP system.
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to understand and learn distribution processes, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to work independently and multitask across a wide variety of activities.
• Certification on all PIT equipment used at the distribution site.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience working directly with SAP or a similar ERP system.
• Availability to work any shift, weekends, and/or overtime as required.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds consistently.
• Ability to stand for up to 12 hours and routinely walk, stand, bend, stoop, and twist.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of experience in a similar leadership role (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Monitor shipments and deliveries to ensure customer shipment requirements are met and assigned OTIF targets are achieved.
• Communicate daily workload and targets to staff members.
• Assist in or develop scheduled labor duties and responsibilities to meet customer order demand.
• Train and develop associates on current and new customer, distribution, and quality requirements.
• Manage shipment documents, including deliveries and picks, as needed to maximize daily productivity.
• Work with sales teams on specific customer requirements and projects.
• Participate actively and successfully in the Leadership Development Initiative.
• Work with site leadership to achieve an optimum schedule and adherence to customer shipment requirements.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, wear required PPE, perform duties safely, and observe safety procedures.
• Ensure full adherence to 6S practices: Safety, Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
