About The Position

Clopay Corporation is hiring a Distribution Center Supervisor for its Salt Lake City location. This is a working supervisor role that combines distribution center operations, employee leadership, inventory and expense management, and customer service. The supervisor works daily in the warehouse and communicates with customers in person and by telephone.

Requirements

At least 2 years of supervisory experience; warehouse or distribution center experience is preferred.
Forklift experience or certification is required.
Good computer skills.
Outstanding customer service skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds routinely and 75 pounds occasionally.
Ability to stand, bend, twist, and climb frequently.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
Supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution center.

Responsibilities

Prioritize customer service and satisfaction, including assisting customer service representatives with escalated issues.
Administer order-entry controls and pricing policies in accordance with company and division guidelines.
Hire, train, and develop employees to work productively, urgently, and with a positive customer-service attitude.
Manage inventory to support high service levels and planned inventory turns while minimizing slow-moving inventory.
Manage expenses and operating ratios to meet or outperform budget.
Coordinate with manufacturing plants to ensure product is available on time and in full.
Order products for the distribution center from various sources.
Communicate with customers in person and by telephone while providing strong customer service.
Assist with pricing quotes and orders under automation system controls.
Work in the warehouse daily, including physical material-handling tasks.
