About The Position

The Distribution Associate distributes newspapers and materials to independent contractors. The position reports to the Home Delivery Manager and requires safe driving to and from locations, a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record, a reliable vehicle, and regular, reliable on-site attendance. The associate must be available to work nights and weekends. The role includes checking newspaper bundles for quality, verifying and disposing of single-copy returns, keeping the dock area clean, communicating about routes not picked up by contractors, and occasionally delivering newspapers. Employees must follow company policies and represent the company professionally, including through communication, attendance, punctuality, and dress.

Requirements

Hold a valid driver’s license.
Maintain a safe driving record.
Have a reliable vehicle.
Maintain regular and reliable on-site attendance.
Be able to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

Distribute newspapers and materials to independent contractors.
Ensure quality control of newspaper bundles being distributed to contractors.
Verify and dispose of single-copy returns.
Maintain cleanliness of the dock area.
Communicate with the Home Delivery Manager and District Sales Managers when a route is not picked up by a contractor.
Occasionally deliver newspapers as required.
Comply with company policies and procedures and maintain professional communication, attendance, punctuality, and dress.
