About The Position

The Distribution Associate distributes newspapers and materials to independent contractors and reports to the Home Delivery Manager. The role requires safely driving to and from locations, a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record, a reliable vehicle, and regular, reliable on-site attendance. The employee must be able to work nights and weekends. The position supports nightly newspaper distribution through quality checks, return verification and disposal, dock-area upkeep, and communication with the Home Delivery Manager and District Sales Managers when a contractor does not pick up a route. The associate may occasionally deliver newspapers. Employees must follow company policies and procedures and represent the company professionally, including through communication, attendance, punctuality, and dress. Requirements

Responsibilities

Distribute newspapers and materials to independent contractors.
Ensure quality control of newspaper bundles being distributed to contractors.
Verify and dispose of single-copy returns.
Maintain cleanliness of the dock area.
Notify the Home Delivery Manager and District Sales Managers when a route is not picked up by a contractor.
Occasionally deliver newspapers as required.
Comply with company policies and procedures and maintain professional communication, attendance, punctuality, and dress.
