About The Position

The Distribution Associate is responsible for learning all aspects of the Tyson Warehousing Group, including Tyson Transportation’s outside transportation and outside warehousing operations. During training, the position may require working various shifts to learn additional parts of the operations. The role supports coordinated, efficient production of a quality product by taking ownership of its area of responsibility and working with location support departments such as Maintenance, HR, and Inventory Control. Administrative work includes maintaining Team Member time cards, calendars, and benefit needs; educating Team Members; and communicating with them to promote morale and productivity. The associate promotes a safe working environment and assists the location management team as needed, which may include performing supervisors’ duties in their absence. Other responsibilities may be assigned as operational needs arise. The role covers days, nights, and/or weekends, and may involve split shifts or a five-day workweek.

Requirements

Knowledge normally acquired through completion of a two- or four-year degree program.
Basic computer skills.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work well with others.
Willingness and ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

Relevant experience is preferred but not required.
Bilingual skills are preferred.
