About The Position

The Distribution Associate is responsible for learning all aspects of the Tyson Warehousing Group, including Tyson Transportation Outside Transportation and Outside Warehousing. During training, the role may require working various shifts to learn additional areas of the operation.

The associate takes ownership of their area of responsibility and works with support departments, including Maintenance, HR, and Inventory Control, to coordinate efficient production of a quality product and meet company commitments. The role also includes administrative work such as maintaining Team Member time cards, calendars, and benefit needs; educating Team Members; and communicating with them to promote morale and productivity.

Additional duties include promoting a safe working environment and assisting the location management team as needed. This may include performing a supervisor’s duties in their absence and taking on other responsibilities as they arise. The position covers day, night, and/or weekend shifts and may involve a split shift or a five-day workweek.

Requirements

• Knowledge normally acquired through completion of a two- or four-year degree program.
• Basic computer skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Resume required for consideration.

Nice To Haves

• Experience is preferred but not required.
• Bilingual skills are preferred.
