About The Position

Grand Canyon University (GCU) partners with nonprofit organizations identified by the IRS as 501(c)(3) to improve the quality of life for community residents. GCU has a partnership with City Hope Arizona, which provides food, clothing, and hygiene products to those in need. The CSLP student worker's schedule is based on City Hope Arizona's operational hours and needs, with a maximum of 20 hours per week during the academic year. This position is approved as Community Service (CSLP) and offers services to non-GCU community members. Applicants must complete their FAFSA to be reviewed for FWS-eligibility.

Requirements

• Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a bachelor’s program or master’s program.
• Maintain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
• Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
• Have passion and willingness to help others succeed.
• Possess strong ethics, integrity, and sense of responsibility.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

• Previous Mentoring a plus.
• Ability to speak a second language a plus.

Responsibilities

• Restock products.
• Clean, organize, and maintain the facility.
• Unload box trucks (occasionally).
• Assist as needed.
