Grand Canyon University (GCU) partners with nonprofit organizations identified by the IRS as 501(c)(3) to improve the quality of life for community residents. GCU has a partnership with the Glendale Elementary School District (GESD) System of Care Center (SoCC) which provides resources to improve outcomes for those engaged with the GESD community. This is a Community Service Learning Program (CSLP) position, meaning services are designed to improve the quality of life for community residents, particularly low-income individuals, or to solve particular problems related to their needs. These services must be open and accessible to the community and offered to non-GCU community members. This position requires applicants to complete their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be reviewed for Federal Work-Study (FWS) eligibility. The work schedule is dependent on the hours of operation and needs of the GESD SoCC, with a maximum of 20 hours per week during the academic year. CSLP student workers may be eligible to work during the summer.
