About The Position

This position designs, builds, and maintains store product displays. The Display Builder works with department managers to build displays, creates a monthly calendar outlining planned displays, and coordinates with the Inventory Control Specialist on material write-offs and inventory. The expected output is 20–25 displays per week. Duties are to be performed honestly, ethically, professionally, and in accordance with company policies and procedures.

The role involves occasional exposure to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The work environment is typically moderately noisy. Physical demands include handling objects with varying levels of force and frequently standing, walking, reaching, climbing or balancing, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.

Requirements

• One year of construction or building experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential job functions.
• Ability to adhere proactively to all safety regulations and policies.
• Demonstrated experience in woodworking.
• Demonstrated experience in tile setting.
• Demonstrated experience using power tools.
• Demonstrated experience using measuring tools.
• Demonstrated experience using basic tools, such as a hammer, nails, T-square, and saw.
• Ability to exert 30–60 pounds of force occasionally, 20–30 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
• Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel, and to stand, walk, reach, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Responsibilities

• Design and build store product displays as directed by the Department Manager in each department.
• Create 20–25 displays per week.
• Work with the Inventory Control Specialist to submit write-offs and maintain materials inventory.
• Create a monthly calendar and plan for all displays to be built.
• Perform duties honestly, ethically, professionally, and in conformance with applicable company policies and procedures.
