About The Position

The Builder provides assembly assistance at any sequence level and completes tasks with limited supervision. The role involves positioning metal products based on knowledge of the unit or assembly drawings, accurately reading tape measurements, applying basic construction principles to ensure structures are square, level, and plumb, and fastening metal products with bolts, screws, clips, rivets, or other fasteners. The Builder also assists with repairs and rework before shipment and contributes to a positive, customer-focused workplace that takes pride in its products and supports individual responsibilities and ideas.

The schedule is 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with availability for overtime on Fridays. nVent describes the opportunity as stable, year-round work with career-growth opportunities. Eligible full-time employees may receive a broad benefits package.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or one to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Availability for overtime on Fridays.

Responsibilities

• Provide assembly assistance at any sequence level and accomplish tasks with limited supervision.
• Position metal products according to knowledge of the unit being assembled or by following drawings, accurately reading tape measurements.
• Apply basic construction principles to ensure structures are square, level, and plumb.
• Fasten metal products together using bolts, screws, clips, rivets, or other fasteners.
• Assist with repairs and rework of items as directed before shipment.
