About The Position

This part-time role is based in a closed-door, non-customer-facing long-term care pharmacy. The pharmacist provides routine and emergency drug screening, information, processing, and dispensing services for drug distribution systems serving care centers. The position supports pharmacy management’s goals and objectives and helps ensure that appropriate drug products reach customers efficiently and safely. The role is with Omnicare, which is continuing operations as an independent organization following its sale by CVS Health; the hired individual will be employed by Omnicare, not CVS Health. The scheduled shift is 1–9:30 p.m., based on business needs, with a weekend rotation every fourth weekend. There is no on-call requirement. This position is 24 hours per week.

Requirements

• Active pharmacist license in Oregon, in good standing.
• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate entry of orders.
• Maintain pharmacy security.
• Adhere to required delivery schedules.
• Verify technician-entered orders for accuracy.
• Check new and refill labels and orders for completeness and precision.
• Check drug packaging and labeling for content and accuracy.
• Prepare and/or supervise sterile IV drug products or solutions, if required.
• Assist in maintaining perpetual inventory for Schedule II drugs.
• Apply knowledge of DEA and state laws regarding controlled drug dispensing.
• Provide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage during scheduled rotations based on business needs.
• Follow applicable state and government regulations, including HIPAA.
• Perform other duties as assigned, which may vary by location.
• Help foster continuous improvement, quality, and service, and prioritize workflow while providing customer service.
