About The Position

This part-time pharmacist role is based in a closed-door, non-customer-facing Long Term Care pharmacy. The pharmacist supports Omnicare patients, providers, and business by providing routine and emergency drug screening, information, processing, and dispensing services for various drug distribution systems. The role helps maintain pharmacy management’s goals and objectives while ensuring appropriate drug products reach customers efficiently and safely.

The position is scheduled from 1–9:30 p.m., based on business needs, with weekend coverage every fourth weekend and evening, weekend, and holiday coverage during scheduled rotations. There is no on-call requirement. The anticipated schedule is 16 hours per week.

Requirements

• Active pharmacist license in the state of Oregon, in good standing.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate entry of orders.
• Maintain pharmacy security.
• Adhere to required delivery schedules.
• Verify orders entered by technician staff for accuracy.
• Check new and refill labels and orders for completeness and precision.
• Check drug packaging and labeling for content and accuracy.
• Prepare and/or supervise sterile IV drug products or solutions, if required.
• Assist in maintaining a perpetual inventory for Schedule II drugs.
• Apply knowledge of DEA and state laws regarding controlled drug dispensing.
• Provide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage during scheduled rotations based on business needs.
• Follow applicable state and government regulations, including HIPAA.
• Perform other duties as assigned; duties vary by location.
