About The Position

This part-time pharmacist role is based in a closed-door, non-customer-facing Long Term Care pharmacy facility. The pharmacist supports Omnicare patients, providers, and business operations by providing routine and emergency drug screening, information, processing, and dispensing services for multiple drug distribution systems. The role helps ensure pharmacy management goals are met and that appropriate drug products reach customers efficiently and safely. The schedule is 1–9:30 p.m., according to business needs, with a weekend rotation every fourth weekend and no on-call requirement. The position is an integral part of the pharmacy team and contributes to a culture of continuous improvement, quality, and service.

Requirements

• Must be a licensed pharmacist in the state of Oregon, active and in good standing.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate entry of orders.
• Maintain pharmacy security.
• Adhere to required delivery schedules.
• Verify technician-entered orders for accuracy.
• Check new and refill labels and orders for completeness and precision.
• Check drug packaging and labeling for content and accuracy.
• Prepare and/or supervise sterile IV drug products or solutions, if required.
• Assist in maintaining perpetual inventory for Schedule II drugs.
• Apply knowledge of DEA and state law to controlled-drug dispensing.
• Provide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage during scheduled rotations based on business needs.
• Follow applicable state and government regulations, including HIPAA.
• Perform other duties as assigned; duties may vary by location.
• Prioritize workflow and provide excellent customer service.
