About The Position

The Dispensary Associate (also referred to as a Budtender) serves as a trusted advisor to medicinal cannabis patients and adult-use customers. The role provides education about cannabis strains, effects, and methods of use, helping customers make informed decisions. Associates deliver warm, informed service, record transactions in the point-of-sale system, and work with dispensary managers to keep the dispensary clean and organized. This part-time position is located in Deerfield, Florida.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Recent and relevant hospitality and/or retail experience.
• Reliable transportation.
• At least 2 years of customer service experience.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Positive and professional attitude.
• Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies and systems.

Responsibilities

• Create a “Patients First” environment focused on excellent patient interactions.
• Recognize and respond to patients with ease and compassion.
• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding patient information and interactions.
• Multitask, think critically, and work quickly to resolve problems as they arise.
• Create and execute patient orders based on physician recommendations and accurately deduct the amount from the Office of Medical Marijuana Use Registry (OMMUR).
• Keep current with company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
• Educate patients and customers about strains, effects, and methods of cannabis use.
• Provide warm and informed customer service and record transactions in the POS system.
• Collaborate with dispensary managers to maintain a clean and organized dispensary environment.
