About The Position

As You Wish Electric, Plumbing, Heating and Air is hiring a Dispatcher to manage customer support calls, understand customers’ home service needs, determine urgency, and assign the appropriate technician. The role supports a high volume of calls from the company’s 40,000 loyal customers. The Dispatcher reports to the Call Center Manager and has a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Install Manager, whose department the role supports.

This is a full-time, 100% in-office position with a Monday–Friday schedule from 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. There are no on-call shifts or after-hours calls. Compensation is $24–$28 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

• Proven customer service experience handling outbound and inbound calls.
• At least 2 years of dispatching or scheduling experience.
• Ability to engage with customers and listen attentively.
• Proficiency with basic communication technology, including phones and computers.
• Ability to work independently and complete tasks.
• Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Answer customer calls and determine the nature of the issue at home.
• Prioritize the service needed and assign a service technician.
• Explain to clients what services they may need and why.
• Schedule technicians to address customer needs.
• Provide customers with a clear timeframe for the technician’s arrival.
• Ensure every customer need is handled promptly and respectfully.
• Maintain detailed records of customer calls and dispatching support tasks.
