About The Position

The Dispatcher coordinates ground transportation for airline catering, schedules drivers, manages routes, and ensures on-time delivery of catering services. The role combines logistics, communication, and real-time problem-solving to support smooth flight operations. The Dispatcher works with drivers, kitchen and operations teams, and airline representatives to coordinate orders and resolve delivery issues.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficiency with dispatch software, GPS systems, and other relevant technology.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of safety and regulatory requirements related to transportation and catering services.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

Nice To Haves

Additional education or certifications in logistics, transportation, or related fields.
Previous experience in dispatching, logistics, or a related field.

Responsibilities

Schedule and dispatch catering deliveries to airlines according to established timelines and protocols.
Monitor delivery status and communicate with drivers, kitchen staff, and airline representatives to ensure timely and accurate service.
Use dispatch software and systems to track deliveries, manage schedules, and optimize routes.
Coordinate with kitchen and operations teams to ensure orders are prepared and ready for dispatch.
Address and resolve issues or delays during the delivery process.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, schedules, and related communications.
Ensure compliance with safety, health, and regulatory standards.
Provide exceptional customer service and maintain positive relationships with airline clients and internal teams.
Assist in developing and implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager or relevant supervisor.
